WMP Volume Control ???? |
|
|
When using windows media player 10, with Windows XP, the system volume is
much higher than the Windows Media player volume.
When the volume is turned up enough to hear any file played on Windows media
player, the regular system volume is much too high - system sounds are at
full volume.
I am using powered speakers, but the same effect also works with unpowered
speakers.
Is there any way to make the volumes for both the Windows system and WMP at
the same relative level?

Go through the "enhancements" settings in WMP and turn them all off. I am
specifically referring to quiet mode, auto volume leveling, SRS WOW, and the
equalizer.
