3gpp streming
I wonder is there a way to stream 3gpp files with media streaming server. The
idea is to use the same platform for wma streaming (desktops) and 3gp
streaimng (mobiles). There should be a way with a plugin, but I didn't find
any documentation about it. Did anybody tried anything similiar even with
other formats?
Using other solution (HUSM) is an option but if it is possible we want to
use WMS because of DRM.

Re: 3gpp streming
i've been thinking about doing something similar for another media format.
i believe you can write a mediaparser plugin and a DataSource plugin for
windows media server (check the Platform SDK). unfortunately the
documentation I can find is not very good so it may require a bunch of trial
and error.
If you figure it out, please share it with me as it will save me a lot of
time.

Re: 3gpp streming
Anything you do regarding DRM isn't going to involve native 3GPP files
- at least as far as I'm aware, 3GPP video doesn't have a DRM scheme
which can be associated with it.
So you're looking at transcoding the 3GPP to [other] and I guess
[other] is going to be WMV with DRM applied during conversion.
