Hi !

I want to develop/configure a server to stream a lot of MP4 video files out
the clients. I need to both stream online data as well as old files.

When I was surfing around on the net, I found Windows Media services. I
installed the component on a Windows 2003 server, downloaded the developer
SDK, and tried to configure a test.

When I am using WMV files, everything is working nice. But how can I stream
MP4 files ? Is it a plugin somewhere ?

Is it a preffered solution to house a Windows Media player on a WEB page to
show the video together with other information ?

Can anyone give an example for the best way of streaming MPEG4 video files ?

It seems like it is not too many using the VMS to stream MPEG 4.....

Seems there are not too many people occupied with that. There is another
product called Helix arranged around real player as an open source project.
