Can't convert XviD to WMV or other MCX format |

Hi, I have some XviD movies I'd like to convert to a format supported by my
Windows Media Center Extenders' built-in Codes (WMV, MPEG-4).
The movies play just fine in WMP10 on the Media Center Edition machine, and
the latest Codecs are installed. All other Codecs were cleaned up and
broken ones removed nicely with K-Lite Codec Pack 2.66.
I have tried the following conversion programs, all of which give me errors
with the file, such as 'invalid or corrupt format' or 'no codec'! :-S
Windows Media Encoder 9
VIDEOzilla
Alive Video Convert
MJPegger
Windows Movie Maker
So, why can I *watch* the movie perfectly, but can't *convert* it whatsoever
using the same machine?
