I have tried redownloading the windows for mac 9 many times and it says "successfully installed" but I can't get it to play.
I have Mac OS X 10.3.9
I use Safari and mozilla and my home page and internet service provider are SBC Yahoo.
It used to work but no longer does.
When I try to make it work on the PBS On line news hour it says
"start applet not initialized"
When I try to play it on my SBC Yahoo home page for news sometiems there is no error message, it just won't work, other times I get a "specified stream type not recognized". It is supposed to be the default player for SBC Yahoo on the Mac but it no longer works. I get the Yahoo player with ABC news but It won't play anything. I just see the titles of all the programs they have on ABC, C NN etc but when I click on them they won't play. Even an email I got that had an attachment with Windows media player for Mac that used to work, doesn't any more.
I don't know if the problem is that I recently deleted all my cookies and reset my browsers and deleted all my caches etc. I thought I was supposed to do that for security. Perhaps my security settings are too high. How do I decrease them? Any other suggestions? SBC Yahoo can't help me. Thank you.
