Hello,

I am trying to persuade WMP9 under XP SP2 to stream MPEG-4 video (.asf) from
a website instead of downloading the entire clip to a local directory before
starting playback. It works fine using WMP9 under Win2k. What do I need to
configure for streaming? Is it a XP issue, a safety matter or related to
WMP?

No coding or scripting involved so far. I just want to hit a link...player
opens...buffers content for a couple seconds...playback starts as it works
under Win2k. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I think we are talking about the same thing here, in the past when i slected
a clip to play in Media player, the playback screen would open and the clip
started playing. Now for some reason, when the screen opens it starts
downloading with the video seen or goes to "buffering" and no videa until the
entire clip is loaded.

What happened, I did not chamge anything I am aware of. I have Windows XP
Home and Version 10 Media Player.
