Error C00D11CD with Player is Embeded in Web Page |

We have a web page with the player embedded in it. In the onLoad() of the web
page the player attempts to open an .asx file. The ref entry in the asx file
points to a .nsc file (multicast address with unicast rollover url). The
player then instantly returns the error "C00D11CD, Windows Media Player has
encountered an unknown error." It does not attempt to roll over to any other
protocol (rtsp, mms, http).
When you open the player by itself (not embedded in html) and select Open
URL and browse to the .asx file, the player is able to read the .nsc file and
connect to the multicast broadcast without delay.
This behavior is repeatable with any .asx file that's ref entry is a .nsc
file. If the ref entry is of any other type (.wma, .wmv, .asf) it works fine.
