Corrupted WMP? |

I think I have a corrupted Media Player.
The player freezes up on me everytime I click on Tools/Options and other menu options. There is no way out except for Ctrl+Alt+Del.
I have tried to reinstall Windows Media Player 10 and that hasn't fixed anything. I've also tried to install WMP 11, but I get an unspecified error message saying that WPM 11 could not be installed.
Is there anyway get rid of a corrupted file and replace with a new download?
