Cant get sound at all |

Hey, ive been trying to fix this on my own for a while now but... No matter what i try to play on WMP theres no sound at all, its not that they are bad files, they play on every other player (VLC RT ect...). It was playing everything fine untill one day outta the blue it just stopped and since then hasnt made a sound. I tried updating my sound card drivers and nothing and i tried playing a normal cd, nothing. i hit every unmute botton on the thing and still nothing. Any help would be great guys, thanx so much.
