Client's system time changed, Expiration Date still work? |
|
|
hi, i have a question about expiration date
for exemple:
1. I set the expiration date =#20061230Z#, and packaged a .wma file.
2. I delivered the protected file to my client who already set his system time on year 2000.
3. my client could listen to the file till 2011 ???
can the expiration date automatically compare to my server's time(or any time server on internet) rather than client's time?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I understand it doesn't work that way. The DRM can actually determin that the user has changed his system time. Once it detects that, it voids the license.
Nifty.
