My DJ software uses mp3 files, I cannot use wma files with it. I used to convert newly purchased wma files with WMP9, now with my new pc I have to deal with WMP 10 and this new software does not allow me to convert the wma files to mp3 becuase of the DRM protection, has anyone found a way around this using wmp 10? Thanks.

I have a client with a Dell DJ and he is able to transfer the wma files
(even protected ones) directly. And if it worked with WMP 9 it should work
with WMP 10.

I don't believe so, unless someone actually tries this and succeeds with wmp10, I'll have no faith in it. I have been on many forums and it's the same on ALL of those forums, wmp10 is the culprit here.

One way that always works is to burn your purchased songs to a CD, and then
rip from there. Once the music is on a CD (in an audio CD format), it cannot
be protected by DRM. Plus, you have a nice backup when Windows goes berserk
and corrupts your Licenses, and then refuses to restore from your backup.

Why burn to a CD??? Better try special applications. SoundTaxi is one of them... http://www.soundtaxi.info/english/index.php
I use it for 2 weeks and like it... Wink
