Are any of these (name & model unspecified) players supposed to work
with WMP 10?

I can't tell if the IFP 895 is supported by WMP*. It's not listed on the
Microsoft Plays For Sure listing of iRiver devices.

Does it work with WMP on the other computer? If so, are you using other
USB storage devices like digital cameras on your own computer?

Has the iRiver install CD been used on your computer? My iRiver H340
required a driver for detection to work.

*iRiver models from outside the US in particular may not be supported:
an after-sale "gotcha".

OK sometimes there is some registry detritus for USB storage devices.
Clearing out that part of the registry can help with recognition of new
devices. It's not a simple task to perform, and not a sure-fire fix, but
worth keeping in mind if other solutions do not present themselves.
