No sound when playing a burnt or original cd or dvd - mute button off - will
play sound from internet. Dvd will play sound when played through Power DVD?
Any answers appreciated.

Are you sure you're in the right newsgroup ?? WMP for Mac sure doesn't
play CDs and DVDs.... (and I don;t know PowerDVD for Mac... ).
