I know it should help with the editing. But would it help with the
encoding. Or is that just the Vidcard and CPUS job ?

Just thinking of gettting 2 Raptors and raiding the in Raid 0. New PC
building is making me crazy :P

You're right, hardware does affect a computer's editing performance.
But really, any computer with fairly recent technology is capable of
any sort of editing. It's the CPU that does the editing work, the Vid
card just shows you the stuff. Lots of memory is also needed,
especially video editing. |

Iam getting 2 gigs. With the choice of adding 2 more gigs :)
