WMP won't open on v10.4.3 |

WMP unstuffs and downloads fine. It will not respond to opening. I have read
other messages regarding this. But how can you delete a preference file for
WMP if it will not respond and open.
Like others, I origiannly thought that I needed to download it again due to
a bad download. This 10.4.3 version perhaps has some bugs in it?
I would appreciate some very clear assistance from another Mac owner.

As a matter of fact, WMP SHOULDN'T be running when you try to delete the pref
file.
Do this:
Go to ~/user/Library/Preferences/Windows Media Player Prefs
'~' stands for the name of your Hard Drive, 'user' is the name you've given
yourself when you installed MacOS X.
Since you are at it, in the same folder you might be wanting to delete the
com.Microsoft.WMP (or similar name with Microsoft Windows Player in it) file
from previous versions of WMP.
Spotlight is also great for finding files.

You find them in the Pref folder for your user account and you trash
them from the Finder. Additional details can be found in the FAQ.

Did the app properly install in /Applications ?? Did you repair
Permissions on your Mac??

it's actually
~/Library/Preferences/Windows Media Player Prefs
~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.mediaplayer.plist
and ~/ represents your user folder, which is usually located in /Users
(mine isn't, but usually when you went through the trouble of relocating
it, you know what ~/ represents ;o) ).
