Hello,

We have a 2003 Server Machine.
192.168.1.2 Ip Adress.
The server name is STRUKA
The "public" ip Adress is:62.149.230.186.

I Installed a new server name (STRUKA) and a new publishing point (PROVA)

Via Remote Desktop, i test the video from MMS INTERNAL pannel.
The video works fine with ALL the following Url:

mms://STRUKA/prova/prova.wmv
mms://192.168.1.2/prova/prova.wmv
mms://62.149.230.186/prova/prova.wmv

Also if throught Remote desktop (On the remote server) i digit in IE:
mms://62.149.230.186/prova/prova.wmv
the video Works Fine.

Now if i try to digit in IE with a client machine:
mms://62.149.230.186/prova/prova.wmv

In fact MMS seems to works only in internal and not with an internet client.
I open ALL the firewall ports:

1755,554,5004,5005

Can you Help me ?
Depends that the public IP(62.149.230.186) is different from real IP
address(192.168.1.2) ?

I am new at this, so this may or may not be incorrect-
A publishing point does not have a file extension, it should
be connected to as mms://servername/publishingpoint, or in
your case mms://62.149.230.186/prova- but I cannot connect
like that to you

This url works:
mms://www.viainternet.com/madama/Maremontimultilingua.wmv

But is another server web..........
I still have the problems with previous post.........

Sounds like a firewall issue. WMS online help talks about which ports need to
be open for which protocols. You can verify this by using "telnet server
<port>" from your client, so for testing RTSP you'd issue "telnet server 554".
If you don't get a response then you aren't able to reach that port (either not
enabled on the server or blocked by a firewall.)

Is a external firewall problems.
Now it works fine !!!
