If this is even an active project by Microsoft I've been using
10.2-10.4 on a G5 1.6 machine with 1.25GB of RAM.
Windows Media Player 9.0, on OS X, has never been able to play back
non-streaming online WMV content without choking half way through. I
get about a frame or two per second playing back WMV9 at 720P. On the
other hand Quicktime can play back H.264 at 720P resolution without
dropping frames. Even Apple does better with their media player on
Windows. Microsoft needs to extend the same courtesy and do better if
they want me to continue viewing/extending their content. Until then I
choose not to use/view WMV.
