No sound JUST in browser |
|
|
I have the following problem:
For some unknown reason, after installing a codec, Windows Media Player
9 stopped playing sound AT ALL (browser and stand alone player). Other
players worked fine.
After some research I tried in Options by switching from Default output
device to my specific sound card (SB Live!) and the sound came back!
Fine, but, not in the browser, only in the stand alone player.
Steps I followed then, and didn't work: Reinstalled WMP, Switched back
to default output device (strange but the player now also plays under
this option but not the browser!), looked up at the registry.
I couldn't find a way to restore the sound to the browser player.
OS: Windows 2003 Standard
WMP version: 9
Browsers tried: Internet Explorer 6.01 and Firefox 1.0
Thanks in advance
