Internet Connection won't work |
|
|
I have Windows Media Player 10 on XP and every time I try to connect to the
internet, or try to get CD info It wont come online. I know I am connected
because It always is. My Internet Explorer works just not through WMP. I want
to get my CD's info on the playlist when I play it.

Hi,
Just a thought, you should check that your privacy settings allow you to
retrieve media information from the internet. This can be found under
Tools/Options/Privcy
There are two checkboxes called
Display Media information from the internet and
Update music files by retriving media info from the internet.
These should both be checked.
And lastly, you shoudl make sure that your filewall is not blocking Media
Player. I don't know if that's an issue, but Zone Alarm notified me that WMP
10 was trying to access the internet.
I hope that solves your problem,

I already have done that and I have told my Firewall to accept WMP, also I
tried turning off the firewall which didn't work. I could receive album info
before the fiarewall was installed but was an upgrade from windows XP so it
should work with my windows apps.
