I have no idea how to broadcast…
I have windows media services with windows server 2003 enterprise and I want
to send a live event from another place using Windows Media Encoder.
How do I create a publishing point for it? And what setup do I need for the
Windows Encoder?
Thanks

iT doesn't look like anyone responded to you yet, so I will give you a nudge into it. It soulnds as if you have the ability to host a broadcasting company there but iyou dont need all that to simply braodcast a live event or stream a program out, simply a rather current (1-3 yr old computer) Pent. 3/4 with at least 2. Ghz, but with a large fast hardrive is best. That is because you will need the software to encode the signal and compile it on your drive, and even store an archive there, and the length of the program depends on the space avail. The help system is pretty good, so use it.. There are wizards to use for most applications, so look for those and they will set and guide you thru to broadcasting signal. Think of the screen as having four parts. Go up to the menu and open each item within "View", you will see the four parts of the workarea open up. There are other areas.
Far left you will have slices of screen for "source" material selection. |
Middle area, is the command and configuration area, to the right are the
monitor screens, and below monitor and command areas, is the reporting - tape
control and scripting area (mostly for information and confi.
reports\reposne\frame rate\sound freq. dropped frames, info) You use a
wizard, choose to pull or push a signal to a server, and you are on your
way...very basically...if you read this and want more I will try to get back
with a place to get more info. |
