I am trying to do a simple file conversion from what i think is an mpeg2 to
wmv. After all the checklist's are done and i click the 'finish' button i
recieve the message 'One or more codecs required to open this content could
not be found.(0xC00D1B83).
How do i change my codecs and find out which one's i have so that this
problem doesn't persist?

Neil Roberts.

You can try installing a "codec pack" and hope that one of them solves the
problem.

www.microsoftusernetwork.com/zarax contains some good tutorials on MPEG2 to
WMV.
You will also find more focused help at www.microsoftusernetwork.com/forum
