In case you are interested in this...here is the thread that went deeper
into the problem

Essentially you need:
SmartRipper
Moonlight Muxer 2.0
WME9 or Procoder

Procedure:
1) rip the MiniDVD using "stream processing" and DEMUX the audio and video
stream
2) Mux it together again with Muxer 2.0
3) Load the .MPG file into WME9
Done

Glad you solved the problem Chris, we're working on optimizing the process so
WMV can be used instead of mpg.
