Streaming live video problem with Router |
|
|
Hi group!!
We were streaming video with no problems from a computer that was our
Gateway. We were consuming the service via internet ... we were happy!! :(
The problem started when we installed a Router (Lynksys). We thought that
routing a DMZ to our Live Video Server would be enough but it is not. I not
even can open the WME files because of an error...
even thought we've tested our cameras with the AMCap and works ok!!...
Is there any way to stream live video behind a Router?
Any comments are welcome
Thanks in advance

You should use Port Forwarding not DMZ to forward known ports to the
encoder.

Thats impossible - the WME profiles exist on your hard drive. So there
must be another cause. Do you mean you can't connect to the encoder
inside your network when it is encoding ?
What does the Statistics panel tell you about connections - are you
permitting connections in the encoder itself (WME Profiles can be set
to allow or deny IP addresses to connect to the Encoder computer)

Yes, there is, it's completely possible.

OK Your problem description is not clear.
Please can you tell us how you're encoding, what software you're
using, some of its settings, and some idea of the internals of your
network ?

Sorry for the delay...
Camera works ok but once I edit the wme file this error comes to the screen.
"The following error occurred while setting up 'Source 1'.
The system cannot find the file specified (0x80070002)"
What do this error means?
thanks in advance?
