PocketPC Windows Media Player Profile Problem ? |
|
|
Hi,
I'm using WME 9.0 to stream live contain to PocketPC 2003 Window Media
Player, It play well except that occasionally, the player get self-exited
(quit), I have observed that it only happen when the inter-frame have
larger/great movement,
ie, the contains between consecutive frame having large different, for eg,
no problem on steady image like landscape, but on continous movement image
like many people moving around in shopping complex, this will occasionally
cause problem.
Under flourescent light (where picture got serious noise for some
camera/web-cam), it always happen, sometimes in just few seconds, and at
long as only 2 minute then the WMP automatically quit.
(The WMP on PC do not have this problem, only on PPC)
The current profile I use is 250KBP and around 56Kbps, the ppc media player
picks (56Kbps) 22Kbps.
I noted there is an "PPC profile" on WME 9.0, which use 208 x 160
resolutions, but I'm use even lower resolution of 160x120 !
It seem like the processing power limit on the PocketPC WMP.
Did anyone here encounter this behaviour before ? Any rescue ? Idea ?
(FYI, I'm coding the video capture driver myself, thus I can do something on
the source like someway of smoothing, possible some-kind of flurescent light
reduction, if any).
Thank
WP.
