WMP9 & WMP10 will not play Video from the domain http://vide |
|

Videos will not play from the domain http://video.msn.com/video/ and any
other msn video site. I currently have WMP9. I had WMP10 before and videos
still did not play from msn video on that. So i switched back to wmp9 but it
has made no different. WMP play *.wmv stored on my pc or online fine. But it
will not steam from msn video sites. However It does stream from most other
sites. There is no particular error message, when i try and play a video, its
simply keeps trying to reconnect, and never does. I have not been able to
watch videos via msn video for about 4 months or so. They work fine on my
brother computer which uses this internet connection. (Its shared via a
router) In terms of my PC. Its a fast pc geared for gaming, with SP2, and I
keep uptodate with the latest windwos updates and use AV and MS-Antispyware.
This is a picutre of what happens, Note there isnt an error message or
anything in the picture, its just a screenshot of how the media player does
nothing.

Darklink;
Since I had the same problem and couldn't get an answer, I went to two
sites: http://streaming.uc.edu/troubleshooting.html
and http://www.jgsoft.com/support/httpassoc.png.
I went to Google and for about 2 days kept rewording my question until I
found these. I don't know which one helped, but I have a picture now. Your
post is so old, I'm not sure if you will return to get an answer, but I hope
this helps. Son

Lets start again by you posting the details of the problem (which you
cut from the original post so we don't know what the "same problem"
is) and the web address of the video you are having trouble playing.
