I have Windows 2000 Professional. I updated Windows (many times...I have not
used the player as I did not have speakers) and tried to listen to a CD and
it sounds like the Chipmunks singing...FAST. I have Windows Media Player
version 9. I understand that version 10 can have variable playing speeds. I
never had problems with version 9 before. I then deleted and reloaded and
updated version 9 again and it still races...on CD's and internet downloads
(movie trailers, etc.). I also have Microsoft CD Player Version 5...that
plays at a normal speed. Is it my network or Media Player with Windows 2000
Professional? Thank you for your help, if anyone can.
