wme 9 fails at startup |

I try to run WME 9, but it fails right away with.
error sign
appname wmenc.exe appver 9.0.0.2980
mod/ver 5.1.2600.2180 offset 00010f29
Any ideas?

Believe me, NOBODY knows why. Microsoft has no answers. I've searched and searched the internet, but there is no answer as to why the Encoder crashes on startup. I've given up on this piece of crap encoder.
To prove my point, take this error message generated by Windows 2000, "wmenc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows", search for that at Microsoft.com. What you get from Bill Gates is "Sorry, we couldn't find any pages containing 'wmenc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.'"

Since I am finding it works on other computers, I am guessing it does not like the video card/driver I have installed, but have yet to do what it takes to prove it.
