can't set up automatic synchronization with mobile PC |

I have XP on a desktop with Media Player 10. I want to set up automatic
synchronization with a mobile PC (Axim) running Player 9. I am able to
synchronize manually, but not automatically. In the synchronization tab,
both the Mobile and its CF card show up as devices. But they don't show up
in the Library in the lefthand pane.
I have tried to use Tools, Options, Devices. The Devices tab recognizes the
CF card and the mobile. However, the option to turn on automatic
synchronization is grayed out.
I think in fact I never ran the Partnership wizard, assuming that Activesync
already took care of that.
I'd very much appreciate any advice.
