WMP10 - Fullscreen Not Working for MPEGs |

I just installed WMP10 on my XP/SP2 Athlon 64 3500+/1GB Ram/GEForce5200
system. It will not play MPEG video files in full screen mode. When I
switch to full screen mode while playing a MPEG file, WMP10 switches to
full screen BRIEFLY (a few seconds) but still showing the small-sized
video before it switches back to Windowed mode. WMP9 played the same
MPEGs full screen without problems. WMP10 will play WMV files in full
screen mode.
What's going on here?

No tweaks I've tried have done any good. WMP9 played the MPEGs in full
screen. Other players (WinAmp, WinTV for example) also play these MPEGs
in full screen with no video card tweaks. Since only WMP10 has this
problem, it must be a MS WMP10 problem. I'm sorry I installed it w/o
out a restore point. |

If you tweak your video card setttings, does that fix it up?

Well, since I wrote the installer to set a restore point for you, it's
pretty much not possible for it to have installed without a restore point
unless you have turned off System Restore. Looks like you should have a
Restore Point available for your usage. =)
