sndrec32 hex editor > 60 limit |

There has to be a way to edit sndrec32 using a hex editor (like XVI32) to
change the default recording time in "Sound Recorder". If anyone has
considered this and started searching, or if anyone is willing to give a hint
or an answer to this question, I would appreciate it.
Yes, I know the workaround of making a blank.wav that is longer than 60
seconds and using it as the default. I am still interested in editing
sndrec32.
Thanks for reading!

I do this for fun. I use ProTools for sound recording.
I am interested in geeky stuff like editing binary files, and I would find
editing sndrec32 to change the default recording time highly useful, despite
the wonderful array of alternatives.
Thanks for reading and for your reply.

I don't understand why you want to waste your time doing this -
everybody else is using Audacity for sound recording, and it has no 60
second limit (apart from being free and vastly more powerful).
Sound recorder is the notepad of the audio world, upgrade to a proper
program : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

And I think Notepad has had more updates than SoundRec. |
