CDs and DVDs won't play |
|
|
I am trying to play cds on my computer and it won't work. I have tried DVDs,
music cds and software cds. When I insert the cds, the cursor briefly changes
and a disc appears next to it, then nothing. I have tried to open Windows
Media Player and then opening the cd, but nothing.
I called my computer support line and they said this is a software problem.
But couldn't there be something wrong with the drive? How would I know?
Thanks so much.

Do you mean they won't play or won't "Auto-Play"? DO the tracks appear
in WMP? Does hitting the play button do anything? |

Hi. First, thanks for replying. It seems like the cd/dvd drive doesn't read
the discs. If I open Windows Media or even explorer and open the D drive, it
reads "no disc" even though I have a disc in the drive.
Do you have any ideas?
