What file types are they? iTunes uses their own file type that's not
particularly compatible (and sometimes downright completely incompatible)
with WMP and the iRiver.

Zach,

THe file types are a mix of, MPEG-1.Layer 3., MPEG layer 4, and low
complexity/nothing at all.. does WMP only play certain ones and how can I
change that to copy over all of my songs or do i need to add all my cd's onto
WMP?

Thanks

Which ones are being added, and which ones aren't? One would hope that
there would be a clear difference between the two sets, which should point
out the issue you're hitting.

I am not sure, i just try to add them to my WMP straight from the music
folder and it didnt copy them all. THen I added every song to a new folder
and tried that one and only got 1500 out of 2400. It just says low complexity
on the name...

Okay:
Do you have a sample file that's failing that others can look at?
Does that file fail to add on a friend's machine?
What is the file extension for that file?
