hi,
I have activated windows media services in my webserver
machine(windows 2000 server). While doing the broadcast live event the
follwoing error message displayed:

The server service that received the http push request is not compatible
version of Windows media services. This error may indiacte the push request
was received by IIS instead of WMS. Ensure WMS is started and has the HTTP
server control protocol properly enabled and try again(0*c00D2F0C)

whether i have to reinstall the windows media service?

Kindly give me the suggestion. i am new to the field of streaming.

Please give me tips to do live video streaming.

You have a port conflict between the two services.

You need to move IIS away from port 80 (say, to port 8080), or set it
up to listen on a different IP address than the one used to host the
media server - either a second network card, or attach two IP
addresses to the network card.

Or change the listening port for the WMS HTTP protocol and specify that in the
URL of WME (http://server/pubpoint:port).
