Just "Macintosh HD"
I'm getting stuck there... Are you sure you deleted
"com.microsoft.mediaplayer.plist" and "Windows Media
Player Prefs" from the
pref folder in your account ?? You could try deleting the
"Windows Media
Favorites" as well :-\

Yep. I deleted it alright.. and I just tried to install it
again right now.. it gets again to the install bar with
'510 remaining items' and the spinning beachball, and
hangs. The dock says it's not responding, even after 2 or 3
minutes, so I force quit out of it. Any other options?

I lied. It works now.. I had to let it sit for 4 or 5
minutes, though :P
Thanks, everyone, especially you, Corentin, I very much
appreciate it. I'm a little clueless, obviously. Thanks again,

I think I know what was going on.... Do you have an iDisk ??? When a remote
volume (such as the iDisk) is mounted, the installer has to scan it entirely
to make sure there is no previous install or alternate install location on
it. iDisks and network drives are rather slow so it takes forever...
Anyway I'm really glad you managed to get it to work (especially since I was
running out of options ;-))) ).

Sorry I didn't think about it before :-\
I've seen this one once or twice. It seems to only affect Vise
installer-based install.
