WMP Library access error after 6 applications access it |

I am running into a situation where I have 6 applications open that access
the Windows Media Player Library. At this point I don't have WMP open. If I
open WMP at this point and click on the Library tab, I get a white window
with nothing on it. When I close one of the other applications, I can click
on "Library" in WMP and the library view loads.
To further test this, I had 6 applications open, then created a dummy
application in C#. When I try to create a new playlist in this 7th
application that uses the WMP library database, I get an "Unspecified Error".
All other normal functions that access the library in this dummy application
give the same error.
I was wondering if anyone has come across this at all. It sounds like WMP
is limiting the number (6 or less) of applications that can access the
database. Does anyone know a way around this? I need to access the database
from more than 6 applications if at all possible. This is using WMP10.
