multiple audio tracks in WNV |
|
|
Hello.
I'm looking into hints/informations/directions/sourcedode on how to add
multiple audio streams into a wmv file.
Each stream would be a different language, so i'm not talking about
simultaneous tracks heard, just mutually exclusive streams that could be
selected when playing.
Thanks a lot.

Yes, you'll want to look at the "undocumented hacks" demonstrated by
Sliq media :

For sure, that looks pretty much like what i'm searching for.
Thanks a bunch for that info.
I'm nevertheless worried as to this could disappear one day from windows
media capabilities if deemed unnecessary by some team, somewhere. Has that
feature ever have a 'chance' to disappear one day? |

Personally, I wouldn't build my business around an "undocumented feature." My
guess is that this will become enhanced, documented, and supported in a later
version. |

I do agree with you and also think it has to be the way it will go.
Nevertheless, sometimes you have to "obey orders from higher" ;)
If, by the way, anyone has informations on how to program directshow to get
the same result in a software, i'll be your eternal servant. |
