I would like to read the current Author, Copyright, Track Name, and Abstract
for the active entry in the ASX playlist from Java. I am running the media in
the IE6 browser and calling the media from the ActiveX MediaPlayer control.

Any Ideas as to where I might find sample code to do this in html?

The issue I have been encountering is that I'm driving the media with
ActiveX and the SMIL code works fine but we have built everything aroiund
ActiveX.

Any Help would be great. My brain is now toast from trying to get this to
work.

Thanks...

Have you tried using player.currentPlaylist.getItemInfo()?
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmplay10/mmp_sdk/playlistgetiteminfo.asp

It accepts these params, which include the ones you are looking for:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmplay10/mmp_sdk/alphabeticalattributereference.asp

Make sure to read the note on Media Library Access - you can't always
count on this:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmplay10/mmp_sdk/medialibraryaccess.asp

Hope that helps, Tim
