Which object/embed code to use for the most universal result |

Is there someplace I can go to find the best possible embed/object code
to use when embedding streaming wmvs into a webpage? I am constantly
hearing that one works on Mac, and one doesn't.. or this one has issues
in firefox, etc.
My goal is to use a code that will reach the most users without
hassling them to upgrade or anything else. I installed the Developer's
Kit for WMP and that was more interested in talking about customizing
the player look and buttons. I just want some old school code that
puts the movie in the page with the default controls and slider down
below.
