unicast - multicats |
|
|
Friends,
Since serving a unicast file means that each person / connection
starts the video playing again... ie: 10 folks connect so there are
10 streams at 100 kps ..so that uses 1000 kbps of bandwith of a T1
connection...
But what happens in a muticast .... certainly more folks might connect to
the server... but stricly speaking in terms of video - bandwidth... if it is
multicast would a single 100kbps broadcast ONLY
use 100 kbps even if 100 folks were watching?
