WMV 10 -Streaming |
|
|
I am running XP Media Center - everything is updated - WMV 10, IE latest
patches, etc. I have performed full virus and spyware scans and it reports
that my system is clean.
When I go to AOL or MSN (and I think any WMV streaming) - I can not watch
WMV streaming videos (I can watch Real player and Quicktime). The screen
just stays blank. I have tried turning the pop-up off, turning off the my
firewall, uninstalling Google Desktop. And nothing works. When I fire up my
work computer on the same network, it works fine. Does anyone have any
solutions. I read the boards and it seems like this a common problem but
noone had any solutions.
Thanks

Yes I'm having the same problem, I've posted about a week ago. No-one seems
to have a response. I've been playing phone tag with nicrosoft, they seem to
only call when I'm at work... if I hear anything, I'll be sure to let you
know and please do the same. I think those of us with the same problem have
to discuss everything we've done so we can try to get this corrected

Did you have windows already embedded on your computer. Anyway it's a problem
with the software bundle folder. Look in the windows folder for it. I had to
use my system recovery disk, I lost all my data, but I also had a problem
with the windows update page so check you software distibution folder

I am having the same problem - but only with my 32-bit browser. The 64-bit
browser works just fine.
Unforntunately, Chris, I have no idea what you mean that the problem is with
the software bundle folder. Besides, if that is the problem, what is the
solution?
