I used to have problem encoding files to WMV with WME9. The encoding process
could not keep up and therefor the result was only 7 to 10 fps where it had
to be 25 fps. I still do not understand why off-line encoding can not handle
this correctly.

However, someone pointed me to the Elecard MPEG player (version 3 at the
time) and I bought it. It worked perfectly. Now I want to install a new
encoder system and want to buy the Elecard MPEG player again. Unfortunately,
version 3 is not available anymore and version 4 crashed the WME9 when
selecting the source file (a VOB file) which works good under version 3.

Does anyone have the definite answer on which software to use to encode VOB
and AVI files to WMV? I do not understand why WME9 does not do this
natively. Can someone redirect me to the right software (codecs) to use?

Regards,

Marcel

WinDVD and NVIDIA codecs also works fine, though i think it's not elecard
that is causing you problems...
Do you have some codec pack installed?
