Hi, I am coming from Darwin Streaming Server and need a good primer on
Windows Media Server. Questions include how the relays servers work and how
to web login to Windows Media Server itself. For example, in Darwin, the url,
http://www.myserver.com:1220, will launch the Darwin's web interface.
Also, are there situations where Progressive Streaming is going to be
preferred with Windows Server. In my company's situation, I have Windows
Media Server on one machine and 4 separate Media Servers spread out over the
US and Europe. They have high bitrate content [for ppv] and low bitrate
content they want to stream as cheaply as possible.

Is there a good book/tutorial to get up to speed ?

much appreciation in advance :)

Hi Graham,

If I'm not missunderstood, you're looking how to increse your WMServer
speed. I read sometime ago a whitepaper about How to optimize it and I found
some interesting thinng.

You can download it at:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/f/4/8f47ea6a-254a-421b-9542-c3e5965c8be7/optimize_web.doc

Hope this helps!!
