I'm trying to find information on how to edit a wma or wmv file directly using the windows media encoder 9 sdk (preferably using VB). I've found the WMEncBasicEdit object and am able to make use of the MarkIn and MarkOut methods for trimming heads and tails off of media files.

But I'm trying to figure out a way to edit out a segment in the middle of a file. Some method to say chop out from 10 seconds to 20 seconds in a 1 minute file - that sort thing.

Is this possible using the WMEncoder SDK?

It seems that is possible using Windows Media Format in C++ or using
DirectShow ( also in C++), because in VB there are very few functions.

Maybe someone can ilustrate us more.
