Windows Media 9 Pro Surround Decoding (Pioneer VSX-515) |

I recently purchased a Pioneer VSX-515 receiver specifically for its Windows
Media decoding capabilities. I have the reciever connected to the digital
out of a Sound Blaster Live!, and have been trying to get the unit to decode
5.1 or 7.1 media encoded with the Windows Media encoder 9. When connected
with individual analog cables, all channels play as expected. I just can't
seem to get the receiver to recognize and decode the same media through the
digital connector. I'm using Windows Media Player 10, and have tried
changing every setting I can think of on the receiver, in the Audio Devices
control panel, etc. Anybody have suggestions?
