help to create pust publishing point |

I wan't to create a publishing point, where I can use wme to pust to wms
(push to windows media server), but when I create a new publishing point
I can only find an option, where I can enter the URL of the encoder?
An I wrong, or how does it work?

Hi Hansen,
First, you need WMS HTTP Server Control Protocol enabled.
To do this, open Windows Media Services MMC console, select your server node, open properties tab and choose the category "Control Protocol". The right side panel shows some protocols plugins already installed.
Select "WMS HTTP Server Control Protocol" with a right click and enable it. Right click again and select properties. On properties dialog you can configure which local IP addresses and port your server will listen to pushed streams.
If you also, have ACL Authorization Plugin enabled, the interactive user on encoder machine needs write access permissions at the server level and publishing point level.
After this settings, right click your publishing points root node and select "Add Publishing Point(Advanced)".
Leave Broadcast radio-button selected and type a name for your new publishing point.
On Location text box type "Push:*" and click OK. A message with an error says that you cann't start this publishing point". Ignore this, your encoder will start the publishing point.
Setup your encoder as follows:
Create your session as you have used for a normal encoder pull.
Modify the output settings on Session Properties by selecting Push to server check-box. Type servername:port (the port that you have configured above). Type your new publishing point name and check(Auto remove) if you want that the encoder deletes the publishing point when session ends.
Click Apply.
Note that, if all conditions and permissions met, the publishing point can be created automatically by the encoder on the server.

I got it to work. I think the documentation is a bit bad, or missing, if
you starts out from scratch (its probably written by someone who have
done it 100 times before), but anyway, thanks :-)
