Hi,

I use WME to convert HDTV AC3 mpg2 files recorded by my Media Center PC
to WMV so I can watch them on my Pocket PC. I do this in an automated
fashion using cscript.

The standard definition shows are transcoded perfectly, however the
audio on the digital TV recordings is VERY low. Is there some way in
WME to normalize the audio? I do 2-pass audio and video trascodings.

Thanks!
John

grab ac3filter from http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net and you should be able
to boost the volume using the control panel...

In the Ac3filter control panel there should be a setting to determine if
ac3filter is the preferred codec, check if that is active.

I got ac3filter and installed. I'm playing an HD show in MCE and I'm
watching the AC3filter properties. the CPU usage graph is not showing
anything. The controls do not have any effect. I don't think AC3filter
is being used. I think the Nvidia decoder is being used. How do I fix
this?

Thanks!
John
