Authorization plugin - Is it really safe? |
|
|
I got a situation in here,
I have some ppoints on my WM9 (Win 2003 Standard) and i need to protect each
one with user name and password.
I used the Authorization Plugin where but here what i got with permissions:
- If i check just the "Read" box, users cannot conect using Win Media Encoder.
- If i check "Read" and "Write" boxes, user can connect using Windows Media
Encoder but, on the encoder, if they use a ppoint name that does not exist on
the server, it is created.
So, is there a way to protect it using username and password but also,
protec the server so, the encoders can not change anything on the servers?
