wmp scripting on firefox, final words |
|
|
Hi WMPers !!
I've tried all over the forum for useful answers about scripting
windowmediaplayer7-10 on gecko browser with really no one
good point. I'm still not sure even if that is possible.
obviously I have tried also code and code to work on firefox
but with any luck. it seems that I can just embed a wmp movie
and play it regularly with its ctrls but not to script them and not
to get a chance on scripting events from the player.
then I found this and I got a bit really worried.. are those the
last words about implementing wmp on firefox ?
http://devedge-temp.mozilla.org/viewsource/2001/ms-wmp/
(find -> Scripting the Plugin Fails)
are there any solid trick or workaround to get the thing done.
I do not intend to force my users to install any unsupported activeX
plugin for firefox, have I any other chances ? what was your way
about solving the problem. is that page old and in the while was
build some new thing that I'm totally missing ??
no speculations just solutions.
thanks in advance.
