Unwanted Player Limit |
|
|
I am streaming a small live audio feed (20 Kbps). There are no bandwidth
limitations on the server or on the stream. In fact, I removed every
sort of limit while I am testing. However, only four simultaneous
players can be connected. The fifth session gets a popup saying the
server is not available.
I de-installed the WMS component, rebooted, and reinstalled it. The
behaviour is the same.
The machine this is running on is a very recent Dell rack-mount server,
sized and bought especially for this project, so resources are not an
issue. It is connected to a large university network backbone, so
bandwidth is not an issue. The machine is using Windows Server 2003 OS.
But what *is* the issue? I should be able to support oodles (technical
term) of streams. Where is this limitation coming from?
Suggestions would be appreciated.
