If the movie is of size 1920x1080, this is quite normal for many people.
If the movie is of size 640x480, but encoded as H.264 with multiframe
prediction, frame prediction distance of 75 frames, Shape-Adaptive DCT an
other nifty CPU-eating options, you can expect anything else.
If the codec involved is 3ivX, AngelPotion or many other fuckoff found in
popular codec-packs, than you shouldn't wonder.
As long as you don't tell us any specifics about what codecs and filters
you installed and especially what format the video is off, there's not even
a chance to spot the reason.
